2 NOTE The funeral procession led by police
3 CONC outriders made its way to St Georges Cathedral, pausing briefly outside the
3 CONC New Building Society, of which he was co-founder and current Chairman. At
3 CONC the church his medals for service to Guyana, in the custody of a soldier,
3 CONC were on display. Seats had to be reserved for family and close friends in
3 CONC advance. The church was packed and many had to stand outside. Past
3 CONC presidents, were there and amongst the dignitaries was
3 CONC Janet Jagan (Prime Minister and Family Friend). The
3 CONC service was conducted by the Dean of the cathedral. The Bishop gave the
3 CONC homily, his brother spoke for the family, on behalf of his many friends
3 CONC his oldest said some words, Sally (his daughter) and her sister Lynn read the lessons.
3 CONC After the church the procession made its way to the cemetery. He was
3 CONC interred above his father's grave.
