1 NOTE Will of Reynold Alleyne dated 7 Sept. 1756. Of the Parish of St.James and Island of
2 CONC Barbados. To be buried in the family vault at St. James Church. All my father's debts
2 CONC and all my own debts be paid out of Mount Standfast estate. To my dearly beloved
2 CONC and most affectionate wife, Christian Mercy Alleyne, all negro slaves, all plate,
2 CONC jewels, household goods, property, money etc. Bequeath slaves Pretty Boy and Jenny
2 CONC to eldest son of friend John Denny Esq. and Eliza Denny wife. Wife 2,000 pounds. To
2 CONC much respected and esteemed Mother Mary Alleyne of New England 100 pounds for mourning.
2 CONC To sister Jane Isabella Winston (Winslow) 400 pounds. To sister Benjamina Woodbridge
2 CONC Alleyne 400 pounds. To brother Thomas Alleyne 400 pounds. To brother Timothy Henry Peers
2 CONC Alleyne 500 pounds and a negro man of 40 pounds value to be bought out of the yard. To
2 CONC sister Abel Dudley Alleyne 500 pounds and 2 negro girls of 25 pounds value to be bought
2 CONC out of the yard. To sister Isabella Elizabeth Alleyne 400 pounds. To good friend Robert
2 CONC White 50 pounds for mourning. To good friend Richard Denny 50 pounds for mourning. To
2 CONC brother John Alleyne Esq. all the rest and residue of estate real and personal. I advise
2 CONC and direct him as a friend and tender brother that as soon as some difficulties may
2 CONC arise in the performance of this my will and testament and intention that on the decease
2 CONC of my respected Mother he sell the estate for its full value and make himself and his
2 CONC friends herein mentioned easy and satisfied that he may live with a calm breast and with
