3 CONT Mr Robert Burrowes, of Stradone, county Cavan,
3 CONT Whose death is recorded to-day as having happend a few
3 CONT days since at his seat in Ireland, in the 72d year of his
3 CONT age, was the eldest son of the late Major Thomas Burrowes,
3 CONT of Stradone, by his marriage with Susan, daughter of the
3 CONT Rev. Henry Seward, of Badsey, Warwickshire. He war born in
3 CONT the year 1810, and was educated at Harrow, and subsequently
3 CONT at Magdalen College Cambridge. He was a magstrate and
3 CONT Deputy-Lieutenant for Cavan, of which he served as High Sheriff
3 CONT in 1858. He sat in the Conservative interest for Cavan county
3 CONT from 1855 to 1857, when he retired. He Married, in 1838, Miss
3 CONT Ann Frances Craven, only daughter of the late Mr. John Craven,
3 CONT of Barnane, county Tipperary, by whom he has left a family.
