Passed away, peacefully, at home, surrounded by his family, on Sunday, September 23 2012, aged
81 years. Dearly beloved husband and friend of Hazel for 53 years. Cherised Dad of David and
Susan (Wellington), Katrina and Michael Johnson (Australia), Heather and Alison. Loved Granddad
of his much adored granddaughters Sinead and Natasha (Australia). Special 'Dad' to Glenna and
Michoel Lester, and Kirsty Cole (Nelson). In Lieu of flowers, donations to Arohanui Hospice and/or
the RSA Welfare Fund, which may be left in the Chapel foyer. Messages to Mrs H McConachie, C/- PO
Box 5191, Palmerston North 4414. A service for Doug will be held in the Terracehaven Chapel 697
Main Street, Palmerston North, on Friday September 28, 2012 at 1.30pm, followed by interment at
