Nb. On the failure of his health, Abel Alleyne was advised to try a cooler climate
of New England so he went to Boston, Mass, with his family in 1739, afterwards
removing to Braintree, later called Quincy, Mass. ("Antiently known by name of
Mount Wollaston").
He built a large house on Milton Hill, Mass. which was afterwards demolished.
