He maticulated at Queen's College, Oxford, on 27 March 1708 at the age of 17, and was
admitted a student of the Middle Temple.
Thomas Alleyne was nephew and heir of his uncle Abel Alleyne and heir of his Aunt
Elizabeth, wife of Abel Alleyne in 1746. He also inherited one half of Morgan's,
Barbados, from his grandmother, Mary Buttals. The other half went to Henry Peers.
