Nb. Held a commission in the Royal Regiment of Militia Barbados for 13 years and was Colonel for
nine. He was a member of the House of Assembly from 1802-1817. From April 14th 1829 he was
Agent in London for Barbados. He owned Staple Grove Plantation, Barbados, and also had an
estate at Brasted in Kent where he died in 1853 (B.M.H.S. Journal Vol.XII,p.83).
