Data from article "William Pollard of Devon and the west indies and some of his Descendants"
by W.B.Pollard, B.A., D.Sc. assisted by E.M.Shilstone Esq., O.B.E. In 1898 the late Col.
Lowsley, R.E., printed a pedigree sheet of the Barbados Pollards. This had been prepared
from Family records and from information contained in the St. Michael's parish register
in Barbados. Since then additional information has become available. This consists of
wills, census returns for Barbados in 1715 and other information piblished in the
Journal of the Barbados Museum and Historical Society and from elsewhere. The new
information has been used to check and extend the Lowsley pedigree (See Burke's LG 17th
Edition p. 2837-8).
