Nb. Robert III de Beauchamp, Robert FitzSimon, Baron of Hache, Somerset. He was a minor at his father's death and his guardian was Hubert de Burgh, Earl of Kent and Chamberlain to King John and King Henry III. He died 34 Henry III.
Nb. Dictionary of National Biography. v. ii pp 31-32. A judge, he was a minor at the death of his father in 1211-12. Adhering to John, he was appointed constable of Oxford and sheriff of the county towards the close of 1215 and received grants of
land for his services to the king. He was raised to the bench by Henry III 6 July 1234 and appointed a justice itinerant in August 1234 and April 1238. He last appears as a judge in 1241-42 and died shortly before 1 Feb 1251/52 when his son die
homage for his lands.
